Ch 3.
Rnd 1: 11 dc in 3rd ch from hook.
Sl to top of ch 3 & end of each dc rnd. Ch 1, turn.
 
Rnd 2: 2sc in each dc from prev row.
Join with sl st in beg sc this rnd & each sc rnd.
Ch 3, turn.
Rnd 3: 1 dc in each sc around. Ch 1, turn. (24 dc)
Rnd 4: 1 sc in each dc around. Ch 3, turn.
Rnd 5: As 3rd rnd.
Rnd 6: As 4th rnd.
Rnd 7: As 3rd rnd.
Rnd 8: As 4th rnd.
Rnd 9: As 3rd rnd.
Rnd 10: As 4th rnd.
Rnd 11: As 3rd rnd.
Rnd 12: As 4th rnd.
Rnd 13: hdc in same sp as ch 3 (to form shell) Miss 1 sc, (hdc, ch 1, hdc to form shell) in next sc. *miss 1 sc, shell in next sc. Continue from * around. Join with sl st in ch 2 of beg ch. Turn.
Rnd 14: Sl st into center of shell. Ch 3, hdc into center of same shell of prev rnd. *Shell into center of next shell of prev rnd. Continue from * around ending as prev rnd.
Rnd 15: As previous rnd. End off.
Weave ribbon through the last dc row and tie in a bow. You could also make a chain of about 8 inches or desired length and weave it through instead of ribbon. Make a second mitten to match first.
